We are excited to announce the launch of the updated answering view for guests user. We have redesigned the way guests navigate through the questionnaire to be streamlined, more intuitive and efficient.
We have refreshed the look and reorganized the layout to help guest users focus on each question without unnecessary visual noise around. Each question is presented as a card and has designated areas to present the most important information as question ID, question text, question actions and answer input.
Every guest user will be guided through the answering starting with the instructions (if provided). Once the guest clicks “Start Answering”, the guest sees the first section and its questions in one scrollable page. At the end of each section, the guest is guided to go to the next section and continue to answer questions of another section.
At any point of time, the guest can newly review his answers and quickly identify if any question has been left unanswered. This is really handy when the guests have to answer many questions or collaborate with their peers. All questions answered? Great! We highlight the submit button so you got the answers back!
- New look and layout for easier answering by scrolling through the section
- New Review screen to never miss unanswered questions
- Presenting Instructions at the start
- Smart progress bar to highlight when all questions are answered
- Improved “Bulk Assignments”

A comparison of the new experience and flow to the original, below:
Redesigned Answering UI
The new answering UI will now show by section and be scrollable so users will not have to click to go to each next question.
Here is the old view where users would only see one question at a time and click Next to proceed to the next question.
When the user first opens an assessment, they will be prompted with the instructions for the assessment. Once read, they can click Start Answering to begin the assessment.
Previously, users would only be able to view the instructions by going to the Assessment Overview page and clicking Instructions. They would then need to go back to the assessment to begin answering.
Assigning Multiple Questions
Assigning multiple questions (or sections) has also now become more apparent by having a Bulk Assignments button at the top.
Assigning multiple questions has also become easier as the user assigning questions can now view the entire question when assigning.
Previously, users would need to find the bulk assign behind the Bulk Actions button.
As shown in the image below, it would be harder for users to view the entire question when assigning as they would need to click on each question.
Simplified Progress Bar
The progress bar has been simplified to only count questions answered out of the total questions remaining. Previously, the progress bar would count questions in draft, returned assignment and submitted. This was not always useful as some returned assignments would be returned unanswered.
New Review Feature
There will also be a new Review feature users can access by clicking on the Review button on the top right.
This will show users all questions and their answers on one page side by side. Unanswered questions will show “Not Answered” in red text so users can quickly identify which questions they have not answered.
Users will also be able to click the Close Review button on the top right to return to the assessment.
Reverting to Original View
Users can revert back to the original view if they desire by using the toggle switch on the upper left to select which answering view they would prefer to use.
