Assessment Module

We will introduce highly requested enhancements to the Assessment Module, including:

  • Answer Assignment Rules: Users can add answering assignment rules on questionnaires for internal answering. For example, if you commonly publish a questionnaire to your internal org and need Legal users to answer one section and IT users to answer another, you can now add assignment rules for those sections. When publishing to an external party, answering assignments will not take effect.
  • Evaluation Comments: Users can add comments to questions at any point in the assessment lifecycle. Previously users could only add comments when questions were under evaluation.

Assessment Responders

  • Clear Answer: Remove all answer content when answering an assessment—including Answer, Attached Files, and Answer Comment—for a question with a single click. 

Report Builder Module

We're introducing a powerful new report type named Smart Insights—available to all customers with Smart Evaluation:

  • Within Executive Reports, users can generate a comprehensive Smart Insights report.
  • When creating Smart Insights reports, users can select a partner, one or more of their assessments, and focus areas like Application Security or Investment Operations.
  • Leveraging CentrlGPT’s advanced analysis, the system synthesizes questions, responses, and supporting documentation to produce a clear, readable, and printable report highlighting findings across each selected area.
  • Users can reach out to CENTRL to customize their focus areas. Coming soon, this customization feature will become fully self-service.

New Record Validation Module

We're introducing an entirely new module, Record Validation, enabling customers to publish a set of records to clients, allowing clients to efficiently verify attributes and answer fundamental questions. On our Vendor360 and Cyber360 offerings, customers can select a set of products for a vendor and ask the vendors to review their attributes and answer specific questions like “Does this product hold any PII?” In another example, a customer from ODD360 with managers and funds can directly publish a set of funds to a manager to ensure each fund is up to date. Unlike standard Assessments, which collect a common response set to determine overall risk, Record Validation is designed to gather data points per record helping ensure your data is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Customers can work with CENTRL to define a named template that defines which fields need to be validated and which questions need to be answered.
  • Customers can publish validation requests for a specific template to one or more partners to validate their products.
  • Clients can collaborate with their team to update records and submit them back for review.
  • Reviewing, reopening, or closing validation requests as needed.
  • Convenient back-and-forth communication via built-in messaging to address questions or share updates.

Response360

We’re adding new features for respondents answering assessments:

Answer Library

  • Improved Bulk Import/Export: Bulk importing and exporting Q&A records in the Answer Library will preserve formatting (e.g., line breaks, bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough) in the Question, Answer and Answer Notes fields.
  • AI Powered Chat Agent: Leverage an intelligent AI-powered search panel to quickly discover relevant answers from your Answer and File Library content.

Response Management

  • Enhanced Questionnaire Import Review: Streamline verification of blank questionnaire imports into Centrl by annotating the original import file, making review and comparison easier.
  • Updated Interface for Attaching Files: Improved user interface for uploading and attaching files.
  • Copy Answers and Notes: Select and copy text from the Answer and Notes fields on questionnaires marked as Completed or Archived.

Smart Response

  • File Attachments to Answer Library Records: When Smart Response can't find a semantic match in the Answer Library Q&A records, it will still generate an answer if relevant data exists, now with the added ability to analyze content from Word, PDF, and Excel files attached to Q&A records for improved answer generation.
  • Multi-part Questions: Smart Response will intelligently avoid answering portions of multi-part open-text questions that are not relevant given the source material.

Platform

We’re introducing several enhancements to improve platform functionality and usability:

  • Flexible Question Settings: You can now disable comments and attachments at the individual question level within assessments, giving you more control over assessment interactions.
  • Bulk File Deletion: Easily bulk-delete files within the Partner Space, saving time and keeping your environment tidy.
  • Issue Source Tracking: A new "Source" field on Issues clearly indicates whether an issue was manually created ("Manual") or automatically generated based on rules ("Auto"), helping you quickly differentiate and manage issues effectively.
