Choose your sources, and how they're used
Before Smart Response generates a single answer, you're in control of where it looks and how it applies what it finds:
- If your questionnaire already has some questions answered, you'll be asked whether Smart Response should apply to unanswered questions only (the default) or to all questions, so you don't accidentally overwrite an answer you've already provided.
- Answer Library is used by default, and its verified content is always applied first. You can add filters to narrow the search, and choose whether AI-generated answers should fill in any remaining gaps.
- Supporting Documents can be added as an additional source — upload them directly or add them from SharePoint — and you choose whether Smart Response should use the exact text from your documents as written, or generate an AI answer from them.
Answer Library content is always applied first, so approved content takes priority no matter which sources or methodology you choose. Any question Smart Response can't confidently answer is left open for you to complete manually.
