Platform
We're introducing several enhancements to improve platform functionality and usability:
- Product / Account Contacts: Manage contacts directly on products and automatically include them when publishing assessments or creating schedules. Instead of manually adding contacts each time, users can quick-populate from product contacts during individual or bulk publishing workflows, reducing repetitive data entry and streamlining assessment coordination.
- Contact Roles: Define roles for product contacts and publish assessments by role rather than selecting individual contacts. This simplifies large-scale publishing by letting teams target the right people based on their role, reducing setup time and ensuring consistent contact coverage across assessments.
- Question Filtering by Custom Attributes: Filter assessment questions by custom attributes directly on the evaluation page, making it easier to locate specific questions across large questionnaires. Filters combine with existing tag, section, and status filters, giving users a faster, more flexible way to navigate and manage assessments.
- Numerical Risk Area Values: Numerical risk area values are now captured at the time of publishing, so historical assessment scores remain stable when weights are updated. This ensures consistent reporting over time without requiring manual tracking of past values.
- Import / Export Prepopulation Settings: The "Do Not Prepopulate" setting introduced in 26.3 now extends to questionnaire import and export. Users can tag questions in bulk via a dedicated column in the import / export file, making it faster to configure prepopulation rules across large questionnaires without updating each question individually.
- Performance and Reliability: This release brings several improvements to address reported issues across the application. We’ve updated the assessment evaluation page to resolve scrolling and stuttering issues. We’ve also investigated and tackled a variety of logout issues impacting users.
- Simplified Module Tabs: To streamline navigation and reduce visual clutter, we have shortened several module tab names (e.g., My Assignment is now Assignments).
Assessments
We’ve made enhancements to the Assessments Module to improve its usability and provide greater workflow flexibility:
- Dynamic Assessments: Show or hide specific questions and sections of an assessment based on Partner and/or Product attributes. This allows you to maintain a single master questionnaire that dynamically adapts to each respondent, eliminating the heavy maintenance burden of managing multiple sub-questionnaires for different markets or verticals.
- Publishing Executive Report to respondents: Users can now share the Executive Report for an assessment with respondents directly in the platform, where they can also view and download it.
- Quickly View Assessment Approval Stages: A new Approval Stage field is available on the Assessment table and the Assessment with Partner report, allowing you to easily track an assessment's current stage in approval workflows.
- Quickly open links on Bulk Evaluation: When answers include links in Bulk Evaluation users can quickly see and click the link without first opening answer details.
Note: To enable either the Dynamic Assessments or the Executive Report publishing feature, please contact the Support Team.
CentrlX Clients
Introducing CentrlX - Your Governed Agentic Platform
This release introduces CentrlX, CENTRL’s governed agentic AI platform, within Research Assistant. CentrlX represents a fundamental shift from one-off chats to purpose-built AI agents that work across your approved data sources, perform multi-step analysis, and generate rich, professional deliverables for Manager Research and Investor Relations teams.
Rather than relying on prompt-by-prompt interactions, teams can now create, run, and govern reusable agent workflows that capture repeatable expertise and scale across the organization.
- Connect Approved Data Sources: Use pre-built connectors to approved internal and external data sources so agents can search, synthesize, and analyze information across the systems your teams already use. Supported integrations include sources such as Salesforce, the CENTRL Platform, approved web sources, SharePoint, Google Drive, Outlook, and Gmail.
- Use Curated AI Agents: Start quickly with a library of expert-built agents for common due diligence workflows. Curated agents can be used as templates and customized to reflect your organization’s terminology, processes, analysis methods, and preferred outputs.
- Create and Customize Agents: Build agents from scratch or adapt existing agents with detailed instructions, approved sources, analysis steps, calculations, and output formats. Agents help capture repeatable expertise as governed workflows that can be reused and shared across teams.
- Run Agents from Research Assistant: Users can switch into Agent Mode, select an available CentrlX agent, provide context, and launch a coordinated workflow directly from Research Assistant. After execution, users can review results, inspect supporting insights, and ask follow-up questions in the same experience
- Generate Professional Deliverables: CentrlX agents can transform research and analysis into polished work products, including documents, slide decks, spreadsheets, comparison tables, reports, and other review-ready deliverables.
- Run Deeper Analysis: New advanced analysis tooling enables agents to perform calculations, compare and transform data, and create structured tables, charts, and visualizations, helping teams move beyond summaries to decision-ready insights.
- Govern Access, Security, and Versioning: Admins can control who can create and manage agents, while agent owners can determine who can view or run each agent. Agents respect configured data-source permissions, and version history allows owners to review changes and revert when needed.
Note: Comparison Reports are moving to CentrlX Agents.
To provide users with more powerful and configurable reporting capabilities, comparison report creation is transitioning to dedicated CentrlX agents. Previously generated reports will remain fully accessible within Research Assistant. Going forward, dedicated agents will allow users to generate more robust comparison reports, add new data interactively, and refine instructions for repeatable future runs.
AI Platform
The following AI-powered capabilities have also been upgraded as part of the CentrlX platform experience:
- Smart Summary Upgrade: Smart Summary now uses the latest AI models to produce higher-quality results. Smart Summary also now receives answer attachment context to reduce cases where questions are incorrectly identified as unanswered.
- AI Reports Upgrade: AI Reports now uses the latest models and follows Summary Instructions more precisely. This helps prevent instructions or formatting from Data Instructions from overriding styling provided in Summary Instructions.
- Research Assistant Chat Upgrade: Research Assistant chat now leverages the latest CentrlX AI capabilities for more robust analysis in both research and quick modes. Users can continue to use chat for ad hoc exploration, while Agent Mode supports more structured, repeatable workflows.
- Configurable Smart Evaluation: Smart Evaluation instructions can now be customized for customers. Customers can reach out to CENTRL Support to adjust evaluation criteria to make flagging more or less restrictive based on customer requirements.
- Smart Evaluation Upgrade: Smart Evaluation now uses the latest AI models and has a hardened prompt to avoid excessive flagging and to improve the quality of its decisions and rationale.
Response360 clients
This release focuses on making Response360 more efficient for distributed teams by introducing powerful bulk assignment capabilities, formal approval workflows, and external access through a new Web Extension to your Answer Library
- Web Browser Extension: Users can access and search their Answer Library directly from third-party portals and web-based questionnaires without leaving their browser. This helps teams respond faster to due diligence requests, RFPs, and vendor questionnaires received through external platforms such as RFP portals. This extension will be published to the Chrome and Edge Extension Stores in the weeks after the release. We will add a notification in R360 when this is available.
- Bulk Question Assignments: Questionnaire owners and collaborators can assign or unassign multiple questions at once from a centralized management screen. Users can quickly select sections, subsections, or individual questions, apply assignments in bulk, and reduce the number of manual assignment actions and notification emails required to coordinate questionnaire responses.
- Group-Based Question Assignments: Users can assign questions and collaboration tasks to user groups in addition to individual users. Administrators can create and manage groups directly within the System Admin module, enabling questionnaire owners and collaborators to assign work to teams instead of managing assignments one user at a time. Group assignments are supported across Response360 workflows, including questionnaire collaboration, question assignments, and bulk assignment actions, helping organizations coordinate responses more efficiently across distributed teams.
- Approval Workflows for Questionnaires: Users can configure approval workflows in Response360 to support formal review and sign-off processes for RFPs and DDQs. Administrators can create multi-stage approval flows with customizable triggers, conditions, and approvers. Once submitted, questionnaires move through the workflow with approval tracking, restricted editing during review, audit history logging, and automated notifications and email alerts to approvers.
- Improved Answer Review Checks: Previously our Answer Review checks sometimes rejected short answers as incomplete even when the question expected a short answer (e.g. Yes/No, Single Select). We revamped Answer Review to avoid rejecting valid, concise responses from being incorrectly rejected.
Note to Clients:
- Our release is scheduled between noon and 3 PM PST. During this window, some application areas may experience brief reduced functionality, and the application may be temporarily unavailable for up to 1 hour with downtime after 2 PM PST.
