When answering an assessment, responders may be required to attach a file to a question or to the assessment itself. You can attach required or optional documents at a question level or assessment level. This article covers the multiple options for attaching files in an assessment.
This article covers the following topics:
Viewing and Managing Documents
The Documents Window gives users the ability to view and manage all the documents that have been attached to the assessment. Users can view, edit, and delete attachments from this window.
1. From the assessment Answer Screen, click Documents to open the Documents Window as shown below.
Requests
The Requests Tab lists all questions with document requests within the assessment. This tab shows the files currently attached to each request along with an option to upload a file.
1. To fulfill a document request, click on the Upload icon corresponding to the request. This will open the upload window where you can upload files or select files from the File Library. Please reference the Upload Files section below for further instructions on this workflow.
Question Attachments
The Question Attachments Tab shows all files attached to the question level. Users have the ability to view the source question, view files, and remove files from this tab.
1. Click the File Name to view an attached file in the file viewer. You can also delete files from a question by selecting the Delete icon as shown below.
Attaching Files from the Answer Screen
Once in the Answer Screen, users may also upload question-level documents.
1. Click Attach File for the question you intend to attach documents to as shown below.
Assessment Attachments
Users can attach files at the assessment level instead of attaching to a specific question. Files attached to an assessment are not associated with a particular question and can be downloaded along with question-level attachments. Users have the option to choose whether files attached to assessments can be shared with assessment evaluators or if the attached files should remain internal.
Please Note: Assessment-level attachments are included with the Download All Files option. Please see our full help article for more information on this workflow:
1. To upload assessment-level attachments, select +Assessment Attachment as shown below.
2. This will open the upload window where you can upload files or select files from the File Library. Please reference the Upload Files section above for further instructions on this workflow.
Please Note: Currently, only PDF and .docx files are supported for assessment attachments.
3. Once attached successfully, you can view the uploaded file(s) in the Assessment Attachment Tab. To share access to assessment attachments with assessment evaluators, select the Share toggle switch. You can also delete files from an assessment by selecting the Delete icon as shown below.
All Files
The All Files Tab gives an overview of all attached files grouped by assessment or question level.
1. Click Close to go back to the Answer Screen as shown below.
Please Note: The Share functionality is available for assessment-level attachments only.
Viewing Files
You have the ability to view all files attached to an assessment in the file viewer from the Documents Window.
