The Data Elements section of the Data View displays all data elements and imported records in one place for quick data management.

Managing Data Elements
When users select manage, they land on a list of all data elements added to their data inventory. From here, users can tie data elements to processing activities and edit permanent and default values. For example, users can overwrite the name of the data element globally or just change the default sensitivity.
1. Navigate to the Data View screen from the Data Inventory module as shown above.
2. Click on the Manage button inside the Data Elements tile as shown above.
1. To add a new data element, click on the Add Data Element button.
2. To manage a data element, click on the 3 dots and select Edit or Delete
Viewing Imported Records
In this view, users can see each record added to their data inventory by integration with a third party tool or by manual import. Before using these records in Processing Activities, we ask users to map them to standardized systems and elements. These names can be new or existing. This step helps eliminate duplicates and gives users the opportunity to use friendlier names (e.g. "Social Security Number instead of user.ssn").
Note: Users can submit a support ticket through the support center to set up third-party integrations or import lists of fields and systems.
